Due to increasingly strict regulations, waste management requires an extensive know-how. In the case of sensitive organic substances such as offal or organic household waste, germ treatment with heating is necessary.
Previous methods of germ treatment have always resulted in undesired foam formation. In order to avoid this problem, BioG has concentrated on the concept of pipe hygiene and developed it further. The foam formation is completely suppressed in a closed circuit. The concept is based on a continuous process or pipe-in-pipe system. Here, the waste heat of the hygienised material is used and the material still to be treated is heated, like in a heat exchanger. At 70°C, the waste material is treated in a cycle for one hour before it leaves the Hygienization process germ-free. This guarantees very low heat consumption and low electricity consumption.
